About Baltic Design Transfer


Our Mission:

To stimulate innovation processes in the Baltic Sea Region (BSR).


Goals:
• to strengthen the competitive edge of the BSR through better coordination between designers and business.
• to increase opportunities in the use of design as a developmental tool in business.
• to strengthen and enhance the design potential and skills of the region.
• to create synergies between young designers and key players in industry and science.

Background:
The BDT was founded to conduct the STRINGDesign project 2002-2004 on behalf of the STRING partners:
Storstrøm Region, Region Skåne, Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg, Land Schleswig-Holstein, Greater Copenhagen Authority (HUR), West Zealand Region. part-financed by EU Regional Development Fund, Interreg IIIB

Since 2004, BDT has extended its activities to cover the entire BSR.
